Bookmakers Back Chelsea For Big Three
With Liverpool and Manchester United suffering minor early season setbacks online bookmakers have promoted Chelsea to favouritism to win the big three this season. PaddyPower have gone one step further and offered triple the odds if any team takes out the big three.
Chelsea have firmed in to 11/8 to take out the Premier League with United at 3/1. Arsenal have overtaken Liverpool in betting and are third pick at 5/1 to Liverpool’s 8/1.
I get the feeling that this may be Chelsea’s season with Arsenal the team to push them all the way. Liverpool are not firing at all and Manchester United are trying to come to terms with the loss of their key players. They have bought well but it takes time for a team to rebuild on the field – I am not sure they have that time this season.
In the Carling Cup, Chelsea are steady favourites at 11/2 with United at 6/1. Liverpool and Arsenal are joint third picks at 9/1. It’s a long way off but the FA Cup is showing similar odds with the only change being Liverpool a little shorter and clear third pick at 7/1.
