Matias KRANEVITTER, Germán PEZZELLA wanted by Zenit

Matias KRANEVITTER and Germán PAZZELLA are apparently wanted by Zenit.

The Russian club’s love affair with Argentinian players appears to not be over. At least not yet. Roberto MANCINI’s Zenit St. Petersburg are being linked with two more Argentinians, this time former River Plate men Matias KRANEVITTER and German PEZZELLA.

After having chased Leandro PARESES, Sebastian DRIUSSI, Santiago ASCACIBAR, Emanuel MAMMANA, PAVON and RIGONI, KRANEVITTER and PEZZELLA appear next on the radar.

While nothing is confirmed, the hunt for Jorge SAMPAOLI’s men truly appears to be under way.

Santiago ASCACIBAR to join Zenit

Hey everyone,

Russian club FC Zenit Saint Petersburg have offered 10 million for “el rusito” Santiago ASCACIBAR of Estudiantes de La Plata and President Juan Sebastian VERON has accepted.  It just has to be made official now.  ASCACIBAR will not be playing on Thursday against Nacional de Potosi in the Copa Sudamericana.

It seems as though Zenit are obsessed with Argentines.  Roberto MANCINI seems to like them.  He will join fellow Argentines DRIUSSI, PAREDES, and MAMMANA.

Is Emiliano Rigoni next??? What do you guys think of this Zenit team? They certainly will be a nice team to watch now that we have a few of our boys playing there.

VAMOS ARGENTINA!!

Gonzalo HIGUAIN and Javier MASCHERANO out of Argentina squad

There are strong rumors that both Gonzalo HIGUAIN and Javier MASCHERANO could be left out of Argentina’s upcoming squad.

Rumors emerging out of Argentina that Jorge SAMPAOLI is expected to leave two big names out of Argentina’s next matches. SAMPAOLI’s men have two crucial World Cup Qualifying matches coming up, the first one against Uruguay and the second against Venezuela. If rumros are to be believed, two veterans on the team will be left out.

Jorge SAMPAOLI did not include Sergio AGUERO in his first list as new coach of the Argentina National Team and now appears that both Gonzalo HIGUAIN and Javier MASCHERANO will be left out. Some rumors are stating that both will be left out while some state only Gonzalo HIGUAIN will be left out. It remains to be seen if AGUERO will be called-up.

Mauro ICARDI received his first Argentina call-up since 2013 when he played under then coach Alejandro SABELLA. ICARDI’s inclusion in the team for Argentina’s matches in June against Brazil and Singapore was seen as a potential change of direction in the team. However, should one of or both HIGUAIN and MASCHERANO be dropped, it could be seen as SAMPAOLI leaving his stamp on the team very early.

Argentina’s next matches are both World Cup Qualifiers. The first against Javier MASCHERANO’s Barcelona team mate, Luis SUAREZ’s Uruguay on August 31 in Montevideo. The second will be on September 5 in a home match against Venezuela.

Emanuel MAMMANA to join Zenit St Petersburg

Emanuel MAMMANA is set to join Zenit St Peterburg.

Another Argentinian appears to be heading to Russia, more specifically to Zenit St. Petersburg. After signing midfielder Leandro PAREDES from AS Roma and forward Sebastian DRIUSSI from River Plate, it was only a matter of time before the Russian club signed an Argentinian defender. The defender being Lyon’s Emanuel MAMMANA.

The defender will be joining Zenit on a transfer which will cost the club €16 million. Now 21, MAMMANA is expected to undergo a medical later this week where he will sign his contract. The club is apparently also looking at another Argentinian forward, Emiliano RIGONI of Independiente. Roberto MANCINI looks to be building his mini Argentina team.
