Emanuel MAMMANA is set to join Zenit St Peterburg.

Another Argentinian appears to be heading to Russia, more specifically to Zenit St. Petersburg. After signing midfielder Leandro PAREDES from AS Roma and forward Sebastian DRIUSSI from River Plate, it was only a matter of time before the Russian club signed an Argentinian defender. The defender being Lyon’s Emanuel MAMMANA.

The defender will be joining Zenit on a transfer which will cost the club €16 million. Now 21, MAMMANA is expected to undergo a medical later this week where he will sign his contract. The club is apparently also looking at another Argentinian forward, Emiliano RIGONI of Independiente. Roberto MANCINI looks to be building his mini Argentina team.

Angel DI MARIA and Paulo DYBALA linked to Barcelona

13

Both Angel DI MARIA and Paulo DYBALA are being linked to FC Barcelona.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride for Barcelona the past few weeks concerning Neymar’s potential transfer to PSG. However, it strongly appears as though the transfer will indeed happen and that could open the door for Angel DI MARIA and Paulo DYBALA to possibly join the Catalan club. Per reports, should NEYMAR join the French team, PSG would have to pay €222 million and also Angel DI MARIA in the transfer.

The other side of the coin is that if the transfer happens, Paulo DYBALA could be one of the players which the Barcelona board signs as a replacement. It is also possible that neither one of DI MARIA or DYBALA joins Lionel MESSI and Javier MASCHERANO in Barcelona but it’s also possible that one or even both join the team.

Maxi RODRIGUEZ has found a new club in South America.

The Newell’s Old Boys legend has signed with his fifth club, his first in Uruguay. Maximiliano made his Newell’s debut back in 1999 before moving to Espanyol in 2002. He lated joined Atletico Madrid in 2005 prior to making the switch to Liverpool in 2010. He then went back to his boyhood club in 2012 where he performed very well and was part of the Argentina National Team which made the final of the 2014 World Cup.
