Alejo Sarco has signed with Bayer Leverkusen from Vélez.

Sarco put pen to paper and has joined the reigning German champions, Bayer Leverkusen. The club announced Sarco’s signing on Thursday, joining them until 2029.

The 18 year old striker spoke on Leverkusen’s website. Here is what he had to say:

“Transferring to a top club in Europe is something I have always dreamed of! It’s exciting to be a part of the team from now on and it will be a great challenge for me to support it with my abilities!”

Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director Rolfes had this to say about the Argentine:

“A promise for the future of Bayer 04. He is a technically skilled player, fast, agile, and strong in duels.”

River Plate negotiating to sign Gonzalo Montiel

River Plate are negotiating to sign Gonzalo Montiel.

The Argentine could be joining River Plate. According to Gastón Edul, Marcelo Gallardo’s team are negotiating to sign Montiel and progress has been made.

Montiel has options from clubs in Europe and this would take some time. The 28 year old spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest from Sevilla.

Boca Juniors president Juan Román Riquelme spoke about Aaron Anselmino joining Chelsea.

Aaron Anselmino will be joining Chelsea after signing with the club but remaining on loan at Boca Juniors. Current Boca Juniors president spoke to ESPN Argentina about the 19 year old centre back joining Chelsea this month. Here is what he had to say:

“He has developed a lot. He is on his way to being a great footballer.

“He is going to be a player for the national team. He is going to compete with the centre backs.”

Nicolás Valentini Joins Fiorentina

After saying goodbye to Boca Juniors fans on social media, where he also criticized the club’s management, Nicolás Valentini was officially unveiled on Wednesday as Fiorentina’s new player.

The 23-year-old defender arrived in Italy before the New Year, completed his medical tests, and signed his contract with the Viola.

Valentini joined Fiorentina on a free transfer, so the club only needed to pay his salary. Boca Juniors did not receive any money for the move. “These last few months have been very hard for me, and leaving this way was never what I wanted. Benjamín Domínguez scored twice for Bologna in their 3-2 loss against Verona.

Domínguez got his first two goals for Bologna in their loss. With the score at 0-0, Santiago Castro headed the ball inside the penalty area to Benjamín Domínguez and he would score to give Bologna the 1-0 lead.

With Verona leading 2-1, Bologna were awarded a free kick and the ball would hit the post but would fall to the Argentine who would score his second goal of the match. At 2-2, Verona were awarded a free kick and Santiago Castro would get a touch on the ball, scoring an own goal.
