Paulo DYBALA scores against Palermo, HIGUAIN adds to tally

Paulo DYBALA and Gonzalo HIGUAIN both scored for Juventus in a 4-1 win.

Juventus continued to wreak havoc in Serie A as they moved 10 points clear at the top of the standings in Italy with a 4-1 win against Palermo. Paulo DYBALA scored twice against his old club and provided an assist for fellow Argentine Gonzalo HIGUAIN.

The new MESSI:

Prior to the match, Palermo president Maurizio ZAPARINI (who brought DYBALA in to the club from Argentina) had this to say about the Argentine jewel:

“We are talking about the new MESSI. He will become a player like Messi and he is already at that level. Ok, he does not score as much as last season, but he is always man of the match for Juventus whenever I see him play. He is the type of attacker who plays for the team and puts others in the position to score.”

“I would say he is worth €140 or €150 million. Like I said, he is the new Messi. I have been saying that he is destined to become a star ever since he arrived at Palermo. I hope he will stay at Juventus. I think they can hold on to him. But of course there will be approaches. World-class players are always coveted by everyone. But I hope he will stay at Juventus for a long time.”

DYBALA provided the assist on HIGUAIN’s goal when the number 9 chipped the ball over the goalkeeper. On DYBALA’s second goal, HIGUAIN provided a back-heel assist for the goal. Just another day at the office for both Paulo DYBALA and Gonzalo HIGUAIN.

BAUZA recently met ICARDI at Inter’s training ground but made it clear that he would not rush to summon the Nerazzurri captain.

About Inter and MARADONA’s comments:

“I didn’t meet ICARDI alone, I met him together with others at Inter, talking mainly about football.”

In response to MARADONA’s criticism on him about the meetup with ICARDI:
“MARADONA’s attack? I won’t answer this. ICARDI to be called up? The situation is the same as before.”

It remains to be seen who BAUZA will call-up for Argentina’s matches against Chile next month at home before travelling to the altitude in La Paz to play Bolivia. One thing that’s for sure is that despite meeting with the Inter captain, BAUZA is adamant about leaving ICARDI out of the team.

Gonzalo HIGUAIN and Lucas BIGLIA score goals for Juventus, Lazio

To add to the previous goals scored Lionel MESSI, Angel DI MARIA and others, Gonzalo HIGUAIN and Lucas BIGLIA put their names on the list of Argentine’s who scored this past weekend.

Juventus, with Paulo DYBALA and Gonzalo HIGUAIN both starting, travelled away to Cagliari and managed to pick up a 2-0 victory. The goalscorer? Last season’s Serie A top goalscorer, Gonzalo HIGUAIN. The first goal saw HIGUAIN beat the offside trap and chip the goalkeeper (similar to what he tried to do in the final of the 2016 Copa America). The second goal was assisted by fellow Argentine Paulo DYBALA.

Lucas BIGLIA scored for Lazio in their 1-1 draw against Milan. BIGLIA, captain of Lazio, stepped up and scored a penalty (unlike in the 2015 Copa America against Colombia and the final of the 2016 Copa America) to give Lazio the lead. However, Milan drew level with minutes left in the match.
