Ricardo LA VOLPE wants to coach Argentina

According to a report, Ricardo LA VOLPE wants to coach the Argentina National Team.

Televisa Deportes in Mexico are stating that LA VOLPE’s entourage approached AFA staff (those with the Olympic team in Miami) about LA VOLPE wanting to coach the National Team. Per the report, LA VOLPE has a project in place not only for Russia 2018 but also the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

It appears as though his objective is to start working with the youth teams, from U17 to U20 and that money wouldn’t be a problem.

MASCHERANO agrees to new Barcelona deal

Barcelona have an announced that they have reached an agreement with Javier MASCHERANO.  They have extended his contract until 2019 which also ends all talk of a move to Juventus.

This will already be his 7th season with Barcelona.   In my opinion, I think this is a good decision on his part.

Giovani LO CELSO seals transfer to PSG

PSG have confirmed the signing of LO CELSO.

Giovani LO CELSO has signed a 5 year deal with Paris Saint-Germain which will keep him with the club in 2021. Signing from Rosario Central, LO CELSO (currently at the Olympics with Argentina), will remain on loan in Rosario until December 31, 2016. After that, he will join up with PSG.

Speaking in an interview with PSG’s website, here’s what he had to say:

What type of player are you?
“I love having the ball, I love creating, playing and getting my teammates into the game. The idea is to always be moving forwards in order to find the strikers in good positions.”

There are already a few Argentines at the club…
“Everyone knows the quality that Paris Saint-Germain have; there are a lot of great players. Of course, everyone knows about the qualities of Angel DI MARIA. I mention him because we come from the same city in Argentina, and the same club (Rosario). I have met him before. He’s a humble person and an exceptional talent. Becoming his teammate is an added bonus.”

Paulo DYBALA and Erik LAMELA both scored for their clubs in Juventus’ 2-1 victory against Tottenham.

Paulo DYBALA scored Juventus’ first goal of the match with an assist by Robeto PEREYRA. PEREYRA who pressured the Tottenham back line, stole the ball and passed it to DYBALA who scored the first of the match.

With the score at 2-0, LAMELA scored in the 67th minute but it wasn’t enough for his club.

Atletico Madrid’s Luciano VIETTO joins Sevilla

The Luciano VIETTO transfer saga appears to have come to an end.

After weeks of speculation regarding the forward’s future, VIETTO will join Jorge SAMPAOLI’s Sevilla. According to the media, it was between Barcelona and Sevilla but the Argentinian chose Sevilla as he will be joining the club on a 3 million euro loan deal with Sevilla having the option to make buy him for 20 million euro’s.
