Inter Miami owners David Beckham and Jorge Mas have commented on signing Rodrigo De Paul.

The Argentine has joined Inter Miami on a season long loan from Atletico Madrid with an option to make it permanent through the 2029 MLS season. The club’s co-owners David Beckham and Jorge Mas spoke about signing the Argentine. Here is what Jorge Mas had to say:

David Beckham also commented on signing the Argentine:

He brings experience, passion and quality to our team and to our city. I’m excited to welcome another World Cup winning player not just to Inter Miami, but also to MLS.”

Inter Miami have announced the signing of Rodrigo De Paul.

The Argentina has joined Inter Miami. The MLS club announced on Friday that Rodrigo De Paul has joined them from Atletico Madrid on loan for the entire 2025 Major League Soccer season with an option to make it permanent through the 2029 season.

Rodrigo De Paul will be unveiled at Chase Stadium on Saturday during the team’s pregame match against FC Cincinnati.

Argentina’s U17 national team continued their strong run at the 2025 COTIF L’Alcúdia Tournament with a convincing 3-0 win over ADH Brazil, a regional team from Hidrolândia, closing the group stage with three wins in three matches.

Head coach Diego Placente’s side, made up of players under 17 despite competing in a U20 tournament, has delivered consistent performances throughout the first round. After opening with a 2-0 win over Chile and defeating Valencia 2-1, Argentina finished the group stage with another commanding display, combining solid team organization with attacking efficiency.

The first goal came in the opening half through team captain Matías Satas, who rose highest to head in a well-placed corner kick delivered by Facundo Jainikoski. That early lead allowed Argentina to control the tempo of the match, limiting ADH Brazil’s chances and keeping possession comfortably.

Minutes later, Thomas De Martis extended the lead with a composed finish. The forward controlled the ball with his chest inside the box and calmly struck a cross-body shot before the goalkeeper could close him down, making it 2-0 before halftime.

Argentina remained dominant in the second half, although they missed several opportunities to increase the margin. The third goal arrived late in the match thanks to a standout moment from Tomás Parmo. The Independiente midfielder dribbled past multiple defenders and placed a left-footed shot into the corner to seal the 3-0 win.

Argentina finished first in Group B and will face Alboraya, the runner-up of Group A, in the semifinals on Monday, July 28.

Rodrigo De Paul has signed with Inter Miami.

De Paul will be playing with Inter Miami in Major League Soccer. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 31 year old has signed with the team and all that is missing is the official announcement.

The Argentine joined Atletico Madrid in 2021 from Udinese.

Inter Miami owner Jorge Mas has commented on Lionel Messi’s suspension and states that Messi is extremely upset.

Lionel Messi has been suspended for Inter Miami will miss their match against FC Cincinnati. The 38 year old missed the MLS All Star match on Wednesday and per league rules, he is suspended.

The Inter Miami owner spoke to Tom Bogert, here is what he had to say:

“It’s a bad rule– But it’s a rule nonetheless. The decision of sitting out (the All-Star Game) was made by the club.

“The punishment is, frankly, draconian.

“The rule needs to be looked at. We expressed our disagreement with the league of the decision.”

“The reaction was exactly as expected: Not positive… They don’t understand the decision. They don’t understand why not attending an exhibition match leads directly to a suspension.”

“I think the rule is going to change.”

“There are 6 MLS games this evening, less than 48 hours after an All-Star Game. That’s not right. That’s not right to the players.”

“Lionel Messi is extremely upset. I’m hopeful it doesn’t have an impact long-term.Will it have an impact on (Messi’s) perception on the league and its rules? No doubt.”
