In the 12th minute, the Argentine delivered a great cross from a corner on the right side, which defender Tosin Adarabioyo headed into the back of the net to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead.

Six minutes later, with the “Blues” already up by two, the former River Plate man took a similar corner to the one for the first goal, this time finding Axel Disasi, who headed it in to make it 3-0.

In the 21st minute, Chelsea’s attackers pressed high to recover the ball, and Enzo made a simple pass to Joao Felix, leaving him in a one-on-one situation, and he finished to score Chelsea’s 4th goal.

Enzo received an 8.6 rating on Sofascore and was substituted at halftime.

Marcos Acuña injured, to be out 2-3 weeks

Marcos Acuña felt a sharp pain in the hamstring of his left leg during River Plate’s game against Instituto on Wednesday. This is the same area that had been bothering him recently, and tests have confirmed a muscle tear that will sideline him for two to three weeks.

The 33-year-old left-back was not selected by Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni in the squad of 26 for the upcoming double matchday next week. With Nicolás González out of the Argentina squad due to injury, Acuña emerged as a possible replacement.

However, due to his recent injury setback, it has been confirmed that the World Cup-winning defender will not be called up by Scaloni.

Cristian Romero avoids bone injury, could be available for Argentina qualifiers

2

Cristian “Cuti” Romero might still be available for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers despite an injury concern. The 26-year-old center back had to leave the pitch 15 minutes into the second half during Tottenham’s 4-1 victory over Emiliano Martinez’s Aston Villa, raising doubts about his availability for Argentina’s qualifiers against Paraguay and Peru.

Medical examinations have confirmed that Romero did not suffer a bone fracture but rather ligament damage in his right big toe. This type of injury does not completely rule him out of Argentina’s upcoming matches.

Coach Lionel Scaloni has called Romero up for the November 14 away match against Paraguay and the November 19 home match against Peru.
