Lionel Messi scored twice for Inter Miami in their 3-1 win against LAFC.

Messi had two goals in the match and Inter Miami qualified to the semi finals of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. LAFC took an early 1-0 lead, 2-1 on aggregate but Messi would score two goals.

The 37 year old scored a free kick which was disallowed as the referee had not whistled for the free kick to be taken. Moments later, Messi would receive the ball on the edge of the penalty area and his effort would go into the side of the goal to draw Inter Miami level.

Inter Miami would take the 2-1 lead in the match and the score would be 2-2 on aggregate. Javier Mascherano’s team would need one more goal to qualify and they were awarded a penalty kick.

A repeat of the 2022 World Cup final, it was Lionel Messi against Hugo Lloris. Messi would go to his right and Lloris would stay in the middle as Messi would score his second goal of the match.

Emiliano Martínez and Aston Villa are in France to play Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Martínez has returned to France and this time wearing an Argentina hat. Martíne and Aston Villa will play the fjrst leg of their Champions League quarter final match against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

FC Barcelona hosts Borussia Dortmund in the other match.

Lautaro Martínez scored for Inter in their 2-1 win against Bayer Munich.

Martínez made it seven goals in 10 Champions Lwague matches this season. With the score at 0-0, Lautaro received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and would score with the outside of his boot to give Inter the 1-0 lead.

Bayern Munich would draw level but Inter would score once more to win 2-1 going into the second leg.

Lautaro Martínez and Inter travel to Germany and will play Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Similar to the 2010 Champions League final against Bayern, Inter will have an Argentine up front. Martínez has six goals and one assist in nine Champions League matches this season.

The first leg of the Champions League quarter finals begin on Tuesday. Arsenal also play Real Madrid in the other match.

Messi made it three goals in four league matches this season, scoring three goals in his last three games. The 37 year old had a goal disallowed for a foul and Toronto FC took a 1-0 lead but it was Messi who would get Inter Miami’s only goal of the match.

The Argentine would receive the ball on the edge of the penalty area and his effort would beat the goalkeeper to draw Inter Miami level. He now has 856 career goals.
