Facundo Buonanotte scored for Leicester City in their 6-2 home victory against Queens Park Rangers in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

With Leicester leading 2-1 in the 38th minute, the 19-year-old Argentine started the play in the center of the field with a pass to the left wing. He then ran toward the penalty area, where he received a cross and headed the ball into the back of the net, making it 3-1 for his team.

Buonanotte also provided an assist earlier in the first half.

Emiliano Martínez has won the Premier League Save of the Month for December.

Martínez had the best save last month with his reflexes for Aston Villa against Nottingham Forest. The Argentine made a goal line save to keep out Nicolás Domínguez.

This also comes after he was named the Best Goalkeeper in the World last month.

Nico Paz injured after dangerous tackle vs. Lazio

Argentina’s young talent Nico Paz suffered a serious blow during Como’s 1-1 draw against Lazio in Serie A. The 20-year-old midfielder had to leave the field in tears just 19 minutes into the match after a reckless challenge from Samuel Gigot. Surprisingly, the incident went unpunished, with the referee not issuing even a yellow card.

Paz and his club await medical tests to determine the severity of the injury.

Ángel Di María scored twice for Benfica in their 3-0 win vs. Braga.

Di María reached 13 goals for the season with Benfica in their win in the Taçada Liga. With the score at 0-0, Di María received the ball inside the penalty area and his effort near post beat the goalkeeper to give Benfica the 1-0 lead.

Benfica would score a minute later and Di María would score after that. At 2-0, it was a cross inside the penalty area which found Di María and the Argentine would score his second goal of the match.

Nicolás Otamendi also started the match for Benfica.

Julio Soler joins Bournemouth

Julio Soler has joined Bournemouth.

Soler joins Bournemouth from Lanús on a long term deal at the club. The 19 year old left back has also been picked for the Argentina U20 national team to play at the Sudamericano. Speaking to Bournemouth’s website, here is what he had to say:

“I am very happy. It is something I longed for and it is a very important step for me.

“I think I chose it because they showed me a lot of affection the first moment they contacted me. I didn’t choose it, they chose me and I’m happy to be here.”

The Argentine also gave a message to the fans:

“As Argentines, I think they know it. That we give everything.

“All the effort will be for them and to leave the club higher.”
