Exequiel Palacios extends contract with Bayer Leverkusen

Exequiel Palacios has signed a contract extension with Bayer Leverkusen.

Palacios has been in great form for Bayer Leverkusen and has been rewarded with a contract extension. The club announced on Tuesday that the Argentine World Cup winner will be remaining with them until 2028.

The 24 year old signed with the German club in December 2019, joining them in January 2020 on initially a five and a half year deal. He has two goals and two assists in five Bundesliga matches this season.

Palacios continues his great form for Leverkusen with Xabi Alonso as coach. The Argentine had two assists for Leverkusen as they are top of the Bundesliga along with Bayern Munich.

Mac Allister has started all six of Liverpool’s matches in the Premier League since joining them from Brighton and the 24 year old now has his first assist. With the score at 1-1, Mac Allister played a vertical cross in from midfield to Darwin Núñez and the Uruguayan scored the volley to give Liverpool the 2-1 lead.

Rodríguez found the back of the net with one of the best goals you will see this weekend as Real Betis drew 1-1 vs. Cadiz. With Cadiz leading 1-0, it was a cross into the penalty area which was controlled by the Argentine World Cup winner and the defensive midfielder would volley it into the back of the goal to draw Betis level.

Both he and Germán Pezzella started the match for Betis while the goalkeeper Ledesma started for Cadiz.

Lucas Martínez Quarta scored as he reached two goals with Fiorentina this season.

Martínez Quarta has scored for the second consecutive match for Fiorentina. After having scored in Fiorentina’s 3-2 win vs. Atalanta, the Argentine scored in their 2-0 win vs. Udinese.

The Argentine made a run into midfield and a pass found him inside the penalty area as he controlled it and struck it beyond the goalkeeper to give Fiorentina the 1-0 lead. The 27 year old defender has now started Fiorentina’s last two games in the league.
