FIFA announced the 2026 World Cup calendar and venues.

In a live broadcast where FIFA president Gianni Infantino was present, the Azteca stadium in Mexico was confirmed as the venue for the opening match on June 11th; the same stadium where Diego Maradona lifted the trophy in the final of the 1986 World Cup with Argentina.

The final will be held at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey on July 19th, while the third-place match will be played at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The 2026 World Cup will be the first one with 48 teams and played in three different countries. This format will have 12 groups of four teams each.

Lisandro Martinez was substituted out injured for Manchester United.

Martinez was substituted out during United’s 3-0 win against West Ham. Lisandro was down holding his knee for United and continued playing for a few minutes until he was substituted out.

He will undergo tests to see the severity of his injury.

Garnacho continues to start for Manchester United and scored twice in their win. With United leading 1-0, the 19 year old had an effort on goal which took a deflection and went into the back of the net and he gave United the 2-0 lead.

The Argentine scored his second goal of the match, once more from the right side. Garnacho received the ball inside the penalty area and he would score to make it 3-0 for Manchester United.

Soulé has reached 10 goals and two assists for Frosinone in 21 matches. With AC Milan leading 1-0, Frosinone were awarded a penalty kick and it was the Argentine who took it and scored to draw Frosinone level.

The 20 year old would also have an assist on the second goal. A through ball in to Luca Mazzitelli and he would score from close range to give Frosinone the 2-1 lead.

AC Milan would end up scoring two goals and winning the match.

Facundo Buonanotte scored for Brighton in their 4-1 win vs. Crystal Palace on matchday 23 of the Premier League.

In the 34th minute and only one minute after Brighton had scored their second goal, the Argentine winger received a short pass near the penalty spot and finished with his left to the upper left corner of the goal to convert the 3-0 for his team.

The 19-year-old was substituted 11 minutes away from the final whistle and received a 7.6 Sofascore rating. He had also scored last week in his team’s 5-2 win against Sheffield United.

Buonanotte made his debut with the Argentina national team in a friendly game vs. Indonesia in June 2023 and from then on, his performance continued to improve.
