Marcos Acuña appears to be physically well which would leave Valentin Barco out of the Argentina team for the Copa America.

Acuña missed much of Sevilla’s season due to injury but he appears to be fit. According to Leo Paradizo, a fit Acuña would leave Valentín Barco out of the Argentina Copa America team.

Both players are presently with the Argentina national team training for their two matches against Ecuador and Guatemala. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has his 29 players with him and that list will be cut down to 26 for the Copa America team.

Manchester City could receive an offer from a Premier League club for Julián Álvarez.

Pep Guardiola’s team could be getting an offer for the World Cup winner. According to Gastón Edul, a Premier League club could soon make an offer for the Argentine.

Julián Álvarez has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid and they might not be the only club wanting to sign the 24 year old. Álvarez had spoken to Pep Guardiola about wanting to go to the Olympic games with Argentina.

Leandro Paredes replied to Kylian Mbappe’s comments about the Euro’s being more difficult than the World Cup.

Paredes spoke about Kylian Mbappe saying that the Euro Cup is more difficult than the World Cup at a press conference. Kylian Mbappe spoke on Tuesday at a press conference while with the France national team and here is what he had to say:

“The Euro’s are complicated. For me, more complicated than a World Cup. Even if there is more pressure at the World Cup. All the teams know each other, we play against each other all the time. Tactically, it is a very similar football.”

With the Argentina national team in Florida, Leandro Paredes spoke to Nani Senra from DSports and here was what he had to say:

“He took was lucky enough to win a World Cup but well, I believe he still hasn’t won a Euro. We were lucky enough to win the Copa America, the Finalissima and the World Cup.

“We think about what we have achieved so that everyone can then think and say what they want.”

Emiliano Martínez also spoke to the media about Kylian Mbappe’s comments.

Emiliano Martínez spoke about his form, the World Cup being the most difficult trophy to win, Lautaro Martinez and his penalty saves vs. Lille.

Martínez gave an interview where he spoke about the Argentina national team and wanting to go to the Olympics this summer. In the same interview with Gastón Edul, he also commented on his current form. Here is what he had to say:

“I feel much more complete than I did in my first Copa America and much more complete than I did after the World Cup.

“I know that my best moment is coming and I want to prepare for these 20 days like I never prepared in my life.”

He also gave his thoughts on the World Cup being the most difficult trophy to win, after Kylian Mbappe had stated that the Euro’s were more difficult than the World Cup:

“There is nothing more difficult than a World Cup, we all know that.”

He also commented on Lautaro Martinez:

“Lautaro loves to take penalty shots during training, he loves it a lot. He took a great penalty against the Netherlands. We were joking to him a bit because he had missed in the Champions League.

“He was taking shots without a goalkeeper and I told him it was easy to shoot without one. ‘Get in the goal,’ he told me. So, I saved the first one and walked away. I celebrated right in front of him, haha. There’s a great vibe in the group.”

In regards to his penalty kick saves against Lille in the Conference League:

“I have never been so insulted in my life. I stopped the first one (penalty kick) and silenced the fans who spent 120 minutes insulting me.”

Emiliano Martínez spoke about the Argentina team and how he would like to be at the Olympics.

Martínez has commented about how he would like to be at the Olympics with Argentina. Speaking in an interview with TyC Sports, here is what Martínez had to say:

“I want to be at the Olympics. It’s not up to me, Aston Villa blocked me several times. It’s not completely closed yet but I have to fight a little more with the club. I always put the national team first.”

He also spoke about Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni:

“He takes great care of us but he doesn’t gift us anything. He told us that the number 10 (Lionel Messi) is the only one that has a guaranteed spot. People who relax, don’t come.”

The Argentina goalkeeper is presently with the Argentina national team, training in Miami.
