Enzo Fernández or Giovani Lo Celso will win the Conference League.

At least one Argentine player will be lifting a trophy on Wednesday. Enzo Fernández and Chelsea play Giovani Lo Celso and Real Betis in the Conference League final in Poland.

For Chelsea, Enzo has one goal and five assists in five Conference League matches this season. They eliminated Copenhagen, Legia Warszawa and Djurgården to get to the final.

Giovani Lo Celso has one goal in the Conference League this season with Real Betis. They eliminated Vitória SC, Jagiellonia and Fiorentina to get to the final.

Argentina to face Belgium, Tunisia and Fiji in U-17 World Cup group stage

Argentina’s U-17 team, coached by Diego Placente, will play against Belgium, Tunisia, and Fiji in Group D of the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The tournament will take place in Qatar from November 5 to 27.

This year’s World Cup will have a new format. For the first time, 48 teams will take part, split into 12 groups of four. The top two teams from each group, plus the eight best third-place teams, will move on to the next round. After that, it will be a knockout stage.

Argentina qualified by winning a playoff match 2-0 against Bolivia in the South American Championship. They had earlier lost to Colombia, which kept them out of the semifinals. In their last game, they drew with Paraguay and lost on penalties in the match for fifth place.

Emiliano Martínez nominated for Premier League Save of the Season

Emiliano Martínez has been nominated for the Premier League Save of the Season.

Martínez could be winning one more individual award before leaving Aston Villa. The Argentine’s save with Aston Villa against Nottingham Forest is nominated for the best save in the Premier League.

The save came off a corner kick in December against fellow Argentine, Nicolás Domínguez. The save was also named as the December Save of the Month. Here are the other saves which have been nominated:

Real Madrid are reportedly looking to sign Nico Paz of Como back to the club.

Nico Paz spent eight years signed to Real Madrid and after only one season with Como, they are looking to sign him back. According to Fabrizio Romano, the club will inform Como on their final decision about his buy back release clause this week.

The buy back clause for Real Madrid is €8 million this summer, €9 million in 2025 and €10 million in 2026, with Real also maintaining a 50% sell-on clause. New Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso is involved in the decision.

Lionel Messi scored a free kick for Inter Miami in their 3-3 draw against Philadelphia.

Messi made it six goals and two assists in 10 league matches with Inter Miami this season. With Philadelphia leading 3-1, Mascherano’s team were awarded a free kick.

It was Messi who took it and the Argentine would score, placing the ball into the top corner. Messi would also play a role in the lead up to Inter Miami’s third goal of the match.
