Federico FAZIO scores for AS Roma, Ignacio PUSSETTO for Udinese in Serie A

Federico FAZIO went from zero to hero for AS Roma while Ignacio PUSSETTO scored through an assist by Rodrigo DE PAUL.

The Argentina defender had a terrible start to the Capital derby in Italy. With AS Roma leading 1-0 (after Javier PASTORE was substituted off due to injury), FAZIO received the ball near his area and through a miss control, was pick pocketed which lead to Lazio equalizing.

A powerful free kick by Aleksandar KOLAROV gave Roma the lead once more and Federico FAZIO sealed the win with his second in six Serie A matches this season. A free kick was sent in as FAZIO latched on to the ball and headed it into the corner of the net.

Speaking after the match, KOLAROV had this to say about FAZIO:

“I tell Fazio, as I’m one of the oldest on the team, the problem isn’t the mistake you make, but it’s about how you get back on your feet afterwards. I also want to compliment Lorenzo Pellegrini, who is young but showed he can handle pressure.”

Ignacio PUSSETTO scored in Udinese’s 2-1 loss to Bologna. Recently called-up to the Argentina National Team, Rodrigo DE PAUL sent in a lovely cross from one side of the pitch to the other which found PUSSETTO who controlled the ball and scored to give Udinese the 1-0 lead.

Unfortunately for Udinese, it was the only joy as Bologna would later equalize minutes away from half time and would score the winner in the 82nd minute.

  1. It’s so great to see DePaul performing to his potential, I remember alot of hype was around him when he was at Racing. His crosses and long ball passes are excellent and having him on the field along with Paredes can help feed Icardi, Dybala or whoever is up front.
pussetto is steadily getting better and better, which I am happy to see because he was one of the best players in the primera last season.
I watched the Betis match just for Celso and I’m glad he didn’t disappoint me, he was everywhere on the field, stringing passes together, driving the ball forward and tracking back, a true box to box player. I truly hope he continues to get better and better and show that fool Tuchel that he should’ve kept him instead of using a CB like Marquinhos or Dimaria as CMs.

  2. Some of here commenting copa 2019 is the toughest tournament and i still can’t stop laughing. Chile Golden generation finished, Uruguay Golden generation finished, Colombia next generation don’t have a future reason Pakerman stepped down. Apart from Brazil i don’t see any team beat Argentinia unless they are beaten by themselves. Pero is stronger than Columbia, Uruguay, Chile at moment. Argentina is in the rebuilding phase, Brazil is a ready team where Uruguay Chile Columbia declining teams that’s why copa America 2019 is the easiest tournament ever Argentina to participate just need to beat Brazil to win the title and before March friendlies Argentina core team will be ready with the mixer of old and young guards. Hat’s off to scaloni not to select old guards despite playing against Brazil if Young Argentina team beat Brazil or draw then winning copa will be the cakewalk for Argentina

    • How can you even say such heretic things: no way of comparison this farmer Genoa player Piątek to big club fish like Lewandowski.

  3. Suavito scored a great solo goal today, he should have been called to the NT.
