Matías ALMEYDA and Guido RODRIGUEZ were both winners at last night’s Liga MX’s Balon de Oro.
ALMEYDA took home the best coach award for his part in winning both the league and cup double at the Clausura tournament with Chivas Guadalajara. A reminder that when he started managing the club in 2015, they were fighting against relegation. Since taking over, he won four titles for the past 2 years.
Meanwhile RODRIGUEZ who plays for Club America took home the best defensive midfielder award. He was among the many new faces who benefited a call up for the national team under Jorge SAMPAOLI. He made his debut against Brazil in the recent friendly match in Melbourne.
