Jorge SAMPAOLI will announce his Argentina squad on Friday.
The list many of us have been waiting for since the referee blew the final whistle between Argentina and Singapore. On Friday, Argentina National Team coach Jorge SAMPAOLI is expected to announce his list of Argentina players for the two World Cup Qualifiers against Uruguay and Venezuela.
Jorge SAMPAOLI meeting with Argentina squad
The coach has been travelling around Europe meeting with several players from the National Team (Lionel MESSI, Javier MASCHERANO, Manuel LANZINI, Paulo DYBALA, etc…) and it’s show time for SAMPAOLI. Rumors have been circulating for a few weeks now that Juventus target man Gonzalo HIGUAIN will be left out of the team with Manchester City’s Sergio AGUERO making a return after having been previously left out of the team on Jorge SAMPAOLI’s Argentina debut against Brazil and Singapore.
The rumors appear to be that Inter’s Mauro ICARDI would get the nod as the starting man however it’s still too early to tell.
The team was dealt a blow earlier this week when newly signed AC Milan midfielder Lucas BIGLIA got injured. As we reported earlier, BIGLIA will undergo medical tests but could be out for anywhere between two to four weeks.
There was cause for more concern on Thursday after both Gabriel MERCADO and Joaquin CORREA were forced to leave the pitch for Sevilla. Gabriel MERCADO left the match feeling pain in his left foot while Joaquin CORREA went off due to muscular discomfort.
