Lucas ALARIO got off to a dream start for Bayer Leverkusen.
A goal and an assist is what the former River Plate man can now add to his resumé in Germany. After some initial trouble with his transfer (undergoing a medical withour River Plate’s consent), ALARIO finally made his debut in the Bundesliga. The €24 million man scored in Bayer Leverkusen’s second of the match and set up the third in their 3-0 win against Hamburg. Leverkusen coach Heiko HERRLICH had this to say:

The goal was the cream on top of it all. He (ALARIO) played very well, scored the goal and combined with the other players. He worked well coming back and his first goal wasn’t so easy to score.
ALARIO became the first Argentinian to score on his Bundesliga debut since Sergio ZARATE did it back in 1991.
Both him and Ascacibar will be in Bayern or Dortmund soon. I can see it coming
I like this guy. Would you guys prefer him over Kun in our current seleccion?
That’s a tough one Juli, Kun is in great shape now but we all know too well how that translates to the NT. Maybe Alario over Benedetto instead?
its a lot easier to look good when you are surrounded by brilliant players as kun is at man.c as he has all the time and space in the world but in the n/t were games are tight he has not been able to reproduce that form to the n/t despite always being brilliant in the epl.
again kun has 82 caps for 33 goals but out of them half are in friendlies and he has zero w/c goals.
Agreed Pablo, we’ll see what happens
