Lionel MESSI scored a hattrick as Barcelona were crowned La Liga champions while in Italy Giovani SIMEONE also scored three times.
It was the Lionel MESSI show for the upteenth time for Barcelona as they picked up a 4-2 win against Deportivo. All they needed was a draw to be crowned La Liga champions but they managed to get all three points. COUTINHO opened the scoring for the Catalan club and MESSI made it 2-0 with Deportivo pulling one back moments later.
The second half saw Deportivo (who absolutely needed a win otherwise they would be relegated) draw level but MESSI added a third goal and a fourth goal to complete his hattrick and give Barcelona their 25th La Liga title as they are crowned champions of Spain while going undefeated.
At the age of 30, MESSI has now won 32 trophies with his club:

2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018

Another Argentine scored three goals in Europe as Giovanni SIMEONE scored all three goals in Fiorentina’s 3-0 win against Napoli. SIMEONE’s goals (which happened to be his first hattrick) came in the 34th, 62nd and 90th minute. That win against second place Napoli combined with Gonzalo HIGUAIN scoring the winner for Juventus on Saturday makes HIGUAIN and DYBALA’s chances of winning the league that much bigger.
