If it’s the security situation in Israel that has promoted cancellation, the game should be played in Spain instead. If any of the minnows of europe are chosen for a quickly arranged game it wouldn’t do us any good. AFA has messed up again though the entire squad was available for nearly a month. They couldn’t even arrange two proper friendlies. We are woefully short on preparations. With goat or without goat be prepared for a very early exit.

The game was originaly supose to be played in Haifa but had to be relocated due to the escalation between israel and iran on the border of israel and syria which is only a few hundred miles away, it has nothing to do with politics in interest of israel. The next stadium with the EUFA standard is in West Jerusalem, recognized internationaly as a city part of israel. Palestinains have a problem with israel claiming East Jerusalem has a connection to them. Argentina gave into pressure this is really unfortunate the team could of used a spiritual connection with god before the world cup. Lets all hope this decision wont come back to haunt the team.
When I was a child in Argentina, around 1976-1977, Argentina national team would play club teams like Boca River, Independiente all the time. This was great for the NT because these teams were usually powerhouse teams. I don’t know why we don’t do this anymore. I don’t see anything wrong with that, or having a charity game of our first 11 versus the second 11 or mixing teams up.
I like that idea too. Players of those teams got to give their best as well in front of the NT coach.

Referees is matter of FIFA not has to do Putin or Russian government. FIFA was always against us from 1990 and after. the referees and FIFA except 2010 in all other world cups made damage to our team. i have many examples but really i need so much time to write all. i don t have mood now.

Except money there was no reason for the game. Nigeria plays Czech republic to prepare for Croatia match, Iceland play Ghana to prepare for Nigeria match, Croatia plays Brazil etc. Haiti and Israel are similar to who? Cameroon would have been a good choice or Scotland or Slovakia.

Haiti is as good as most of the African teams. Remember Haiti drew with Italy 2-2 and only lost to Spain 2-1. The problem wasn’t Haiti, that was a sending off game being played in Buenos Aires. Many teams were not going to travel to Argentina for free only to lose by 4-5 goals especially those taking part at the 2018 world cup. Argentina try to play Costa Rica for the sending off game but they decline to participate, and this is understandably going into the world cup for a team like Costa Rica who wouldn’t want to lose by a big score line margin. I’m sure the AFA try to invite a European team who likely decline to travel half way around the world for a meaningless game. The problem is the AFA, they should have had at least two games organize to be played in Catalonia. Barcelona stadium pitch is closed off, but the games could have been hosted by RCD Espanyol and Girona FC stadiums given that both clubs are from Catalonia.
Maybe Haiti is just as good, but different type of style. African teams usually have physical strong players (think Yaya Toure) and different approach. Senegal, Ivory Coast etc would be good practice for us.
Argentina was planning to play Cameroon for a very long time and that didn’t materialize out. Most of the African players are in Europe, I just don’t see any of them making a trip to play in a meaningless friendly game in Buenos Aires unless big money was involve. I could understand several of these teams traveling to South America to play against Argentina if the world cup was on the continent just to experience the whole festivity of the world cup atmosphere. Yaya Toure retired from international football. Argentina have already played against Spain, Italy, Brazil, Nigeria and Russia to name a few since Sampaoli took charge.
