Mauro Icardi scored both goals for PSG in their 2-0 win vs. Reims.
The Argentine scored two different kinds of goals, one in each half. The first goal saw him take the ball in his stride inside the penalty area and beat the goalkeeper to give PSG the 1-0 lead. The second goal was a poacher finish as the 27 year old scored a tap in from close range.
Icardi was not selected by Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni for next month’s World Cup qualifiers.
Amazing that in CL final, Tuchel subbed in Eric Maxim instead of Icardi and the guy scored less than 10 goals in past 3 seasons.
It’s ludicrous and insane to prioritize Simeone, Alario, and Gaich over Icardi.
Right now Agüero, Martinez, and Dybala are preferred but icardi should be phased in.
Icardi is a high quality number 9….shame that Argentina is yet to find a way to capitalize on him…… .
Reims has the defense of an amateur under 17 local club.
