Lionel Messi tests positive for COVID-19, will miss PSG’s cup match

Lionel Messi has tested positive for COVID-19.

Messi is one of four PSG players to have tested positive and is currently in isolation. Along with Messi, Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala all tested positive with the other Argentine players testing negative.

He will miss PSG’s match against Vannes on Monday. The protocols in France are that if you are vaccinated and test positive, you quarantine for seven days. That would mean if he tests negative before the Lyon match, he would be able to play.
