Lo Celso will join La Liga club Villarreal on loan until the end of the season. The Argentine will join them as Villarreal will also have the option of purchasing him. According to César Luis Merlo, Villarreal cleared up a spot in the team.

  1. A good move, although to be honest, just distancing himself from that toxic club would be a good move.
Villareal is a solid club with Argentines in it and a decent coach that Celso knows well, not to mention that fact that they play CL football. However it won’t be easy for Celso to start for them because they play a 4-4-2 with the midfield 4 already fixed, so Celso is gonna have to keep his head down, work really hard and be ok with coming off the bench for a while until the opportunity presents itself for him to start.

  2. I am glad he’s left England. Its too frantic, physical and intense over here. He should thrive back in Spain.
Reality is, he’s a mid table team player. Decent, but not world beater for me. In his defense, he’s fit well for us in the NT and formed a good chemistry with both Messi and De Paul.

  3. This is great news for lo celso and the national team.
Im wondering if dybala will start this week. I’m starting to get concerned that the boss isn’t finding a configuration with him included. And once Messi is back, it will be harder for dybala to get playing time

  4. Great move, Happy that he realizes the moves he has to make for his career. This kid is mature and serious about his career. He will get time at Villareal who are challenging for a spot in Europe and are currently in the champions league knock out stage. Three January signings are allowed to play in the champions league which will likely be Gio. Brilliant move

  5. Emery wants Lo Celso at all costs. Hope he will be a key player for Villarreal, something that the Spurs was never able to give him. Good move overall. I will still follow the Spurs though, as one of the most important Argentina player, Cuti Romero is still there being a key player.
