Lautaro Martínez overtakes Lionel Messi in market transfer value

Lautaro Martínez has overtaken Lionel Messi in the transfer value market.

Martínez is the most valued Argentine player on the market. Per Transfermarkt, the 24 year old is worth £67.50 million with Lionel Messi at £45 million.

With rumors linking Lautaro away from Inter, should a club want to purchase the striker, they would be getting the most expensive Argentine. Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur is valued at £43.20 million, Ángel Correa of Atletico Madrid at £40.50 million and Rodrigo De Paul at £36 million.

  1. Lisandro Martinez next club
    Betfair odds
    Arsenal – 11/10
    Manchester United – 6/4
    Manchester City – 12/1
    Liverpool – 20/1
    Tottenham – 25/1

United are currently 6/4 with Betfair to sign Martinez this window.

The likes of Manchester City and Liverpool have also been said to be interested in the Argentine, though it’s thought that centre back isn’t a major priority for the teams that boasted the joint best defensive records last season.

City are priced at 12/1, with Liverpool at 20/1. Tottenham are also in the picture at 25/1.

  2. I just wish our players stayed where they are and moved wherever they want in January.
Going to a new league just two months before the World Cup can be disruptive

    • For Di Maria and Alvarez it will be only good, for Lisandro and Molina questionable. Others will stay.

  3. I watched the Hurican vs River Plate game tonight, and Im still asking myself why Armani is our #2 goalkeeper
