Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team drew 0-0 vs. Rukh Ukraine in the COTIF tournament.
Mascherano’s opening match as coach of the Argentina U20 team at the COTIF tournament had the same outcome as the opening match at the Toulon tournament in May, a draw. Speaking after the match, here is what Mascherano had to say:
“I think we played a good game, we dominated the opponent but we couldn’t convert the chances we had.”

He is not a proper coach… I think they should hire someone else..
Agreed. In Argentina players can become coach overnight. In some European countries you have to take courses first before you get a coaching licence. Study materials include systems, tactics, training excercises. physical and mental coaching, analysing opponents and lots of other stuff.
It does not always result in better coaches, but the basics are much better.
