Exequiel Palacios scored for Bayer Leverkusen in their 3-2 (5-3) penalty shootout win vs. Monaco in the Europa League as he broke four records.

Palacios scored the second goal for Bayer Leverkusen as they advanced to the Round of 16 of the tournament. With the score at 1-1, Palacios would receive the ball just inside the penalty area and his effort would go through everyone and he would score to give Leverkusen the 2-1 lead.

With the score at 3-2, the same scoreline as the first leg, the match would go to penalty kicks and it would be Leverkusen who would get the win. Palacios was not part of the penalty shootout.
