Lionel Messi scored for PSG as he became the player with the most club goals scored in Europe.

Messi made it 14 league goals for the season as he broke a record in the process. With the score at 0-0, the ball fell to Messi inside the penalty area and he would place into the top corner of the goal.

The Best player in the world was not done just yet. PSG were awarded a corner kick and it was Messi who took it and his cross found Sergio Ramos who would score.

That goal brings him to 702 goals, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo who has 701, for most club goals scored in Europe. With his goal and assist, Messi now has 14 goals and 14 assists in 25 Ligue 1 matches this season.

  1. Alot of people say that Series A is weak, one of lower end leagues in the modern age …yet they have four teams in the last phases of the champions league. Interesting 😎

    • Serie A has been the most entertaining league in the past several years. Atlanta (when Papu was there), Fiorentina, Napoli, Lazio, even Juve and Inter on their days played some of the most breathtaking football and scored some beautiful goals.

  2. GONGRATS TO THE ETERNALLY GREATEST OF ALL TIMES WITH DIEGO AS HE MUST BE SMILING AND SHINING DOWN FROM THE HEAVENS, SKIES AND STARS AS THE DEBATE FOR EVEN THOSE WHO NEVER UNDERSTOOD ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL AT ALL AND WERE WILLING TO STICK THEIR LIFES UP TO PENALDO’s BOTTOM IS OVER AS IT WAS ALLWAYS OVER, WELL SOME MIGHT BE SO STUPID THAT THEY JUST WONT LET GO AND JUMP DOWN FROM WHERE EVER TO FOLLOW THEIR DEAR PENALDO, WELL I QUESS I CAN’T STOP THEM JUMPING AFTER HIM, BUT BEFORE THEY JUMP I DO HOPE THAT, THEY WILL FINALLY UNDERSTAND ALL, THAT HOW WRONG THEY ALLWAYS WERE SINCE FROM THE BEGGINNG OF MESSI ERA!

  3. Top 100 players this season in the big 5 leagues, according to whoscored i.e. based purely on stats –

    1. Lionel Messi – 8.44 (7% clear of 2nd on the list LOL)

    Other Argentines –
    29. Paulo Dybala – 7.35
    65. Martinez Quarta – 7.18
    78. Juan Foyth – 7.14
    87. Lautaro Martinez – 7.11
    88. Ledesma – 7.11
    92. Alexis Mac Allister – 7.08

I suspect Enzo would have been up there as well but he has not played enough matches yet in big 5.

      • Di Maria is having a great season. Among top 5 players this season in Italy IMO. But I think he got left out from this list because his best performances came in European competitions which were not counted.

      • No need to be sad as whosscored rating is a joke. They dont want futbol. They are just “robots” making stats based on some useless stuff.

MANY times Cuti Romero or Emi Martinez were the MOM but for them they had the lowest rating. No need to pay attention on their rating. It’s utterly rubbish and piece of shit.

        • Rubbish is what you wrote there. Their ratings are based on averages, and they have an exhaustive and weighted rating system. Much more accurate than counting MoMs. Emi and Romero have put in many great performances, and also many bad ones, as evidenced by their teams having the two worst defensive records among EPL top 10 this season.
