Alejandro Garnacho reportedly asks Manchester United for U20 World Cup permission

Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly asked Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag for permission to play at the U20 World Cup.

Garnacho has been included in the preliminary lits of players by Javier Mascherano for the U20 World Cup, but per reports, Manchester United would not be allowing him to join the team. Javier Mascherano flew to England where he spoke with the United coach and he is now in Spain negotiating with Real Madrid for Nico Paz.

Manchester United are in the final of the FA Cup and while they are currently not allowing Garnacho to travel, the player has reportedly asked for permission. According to DobleAmarilla, Garnacho spoke with ten Hag where he said the following:

“I have to write my own history with the Argentina shirt. I’m asking you, please. Let me go.”

The U20 World Cup will be taking place in Argentina from May 20 until June 11.

  1. Buonanotte starts with Mac Allister for Brighton.. Hopefully Buonanotte will cement his place in the starting lineup with a good performance.

    • Serie A is usually not the place where under 20 players are given regular minutes, it happens a lot more in Spain, Portugal and England.
