Luka Romero will replace Facundo Buonanotte with Argentina at the U20 World Cup.

Romero will be with the Argentina U20 national team as Brighton will not allow Buonanotte to join the team. According to César Luis Merlo, Brighton had initially given the green light to Buonanotte to take part in the U20 World Cup but they let the AFA know on Wednesday that they will not be releasing him.

It will be Luka Romero of Lazio who will take Buonanotte’s place in the team. Buonanotte joins Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United and Nico Paz of Real Madrid as some of the players who will not be taking part in the tournament.

Argentina U20 national team coach Javier Mascherano is today expected to announce his list of players for the World Cup which will be held in the country.

  1. I was checking Brazil U20 WC team which is now announced.
13 of their 21 players are retained from the team that won the U20 Sudamericano few months back. If you look at top 10 players – only notable miss is Victor Roque (Fw). Of the 8 new players,3 play in Europe. Overall their team looks to be building on the base strength & consistency. Dreading to see how we line up with Paz, Buonanotte already out & the big Garnacho miss. Hoping it will only get better from our dismal qualification campaign.
