Palacios started for Leverkusen and scored in their 1-1 draw. With Stuttgart leading 1-0, Xabi Alonso’s team were awarded a penalty and it was Palacios who would take it.
The Argentine had previously scored two penalty kicks in a 2-1 win vs. Bayern Munich and he made it three penalty kicks out of three.
