Lionel Messi scored an incredible goal and dazzled everyone in Argentina’s 2-0 win vs. Australia.

Messi did what Lionel Messi does best and he scored after just 1:19 seconds into the match.

It took Argentina less than two minutes to take the 1-0 lead. Enzo Fernández would get the ball in midfield and drive forward as he would pass it to Messi. The Best player in the world would dribble beyond a defender and place the ball into the side of the goal to give Argentina the 1-0 lead.

The World Cup winners would come close a few more times, most notably Messi who had a chance from a difficult angle but his effort would hit the side netting. He would also try and set up Alexis Mac Allister put the goalkeeper would get there before Mac Allister and close him down.

Emiliano Martinez would make a big save. It was a pass into the area for Australia but their effort was saved by Martinez from very close range.

Lionel Scaloni would make a substitution at half time. Germán Pezzella replaced Nicolás Otamendi as Otamendi appeared to have picked up a knock in the first half.

Argentina would get a second goal in the second half. A corner kick for Argentina and Messi played it short to Rodrigo De Paul who crossed it to Pezzella and he would score a header to make it 2-0 for the World champions.

Alejandro Garnacho would make his Argentina national team debut. He was brought in for Nicolás González. His first touch and pass in an Argentina shirt was to Lionel Messi.

Scaloni would make more substitutions with Leandro Paredes brought in for Enzo and Guido Rodríguez for Rodrigo De Paul.

Lionel Messi would dribble around several Australian players in a play that would arguably make his top 20 highlight reel of dribbles. An incredible piece of skill.

Argentina would win 2-0 and their next match is on June 19 against Indonesia in Jakarta.

  1. Just compare Garnacho with Prestianni ,I think as a winger Garnacho is very weak on dribbling and one on one technique. Both are kids but Gianluca prestianni or zeballos are better suit in this team.

At this stage Gonzalez is far far more useful than Garnacho.

Another disappointed player is mcallister ,never reach lo celso ‘s standard.
