Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, David Beckham and many in the football world wished Lionel Messi a happy birthday on Saturday.

June 24 is a day that is remembered for many reasons in Argentina. Diego Maradona, Claudio Caniggia and Argentina eliminated Brazil from the 1990 World Cup on this date.

Maxi Rodriguez scored one of the greatest World Cup goals ever in Argentina’s win against Mexico at the 2006 World Cup. It’s the birthday of an Argentine genius, one who wore the number 10 shirt and before Lionel Messi. It’s Juan Roman Riquelme’s birthday.

And they are all worth celebrating. But June 24 is also Lionel Messi’s birthday. The birthday of the World Cup winner. The man who completed football. And many in football wished the Best player in the world a happy birthday.

On behalf of the entire Mundo Albiceleste family, we would like to wish World Cup champion Lionel Messi a very happy birthday.

Ángel Di María wished Lionel Messi a happy birthday on Instagram with the caption:

“Happy birthday friend. Have a beautiful day”.

The city of Rosario in Argentina which is Lionel Messi’s hometown also wished him a happy birthday. Messi replied, thanking them on Instagram.

Mbappé took to Instagram to wish Messi a happy birthday. He posted a picture of them both from the World Cup final. Here is what he posted:

“Happy birthday legend. Lionel Messi.
Wishing you the best day possible with your family and friends.
Thank you for these 2 years together in Paris, I learned a lot from you as a player, partner, opponent and man.
For that alone I am thankful.
Good luck on your new adventure.”

Another one of Messi’s former team mates wished him a happy birthday. Neymar posed a picture of them both at PSG with the caption “Feliz cumple amigo”.

David Beckham, part owner of Inter Miami, Messi’s next club, posted on Instagram writing “Happy birthday my friend, special year ahead”.

Manchester United’s Spanish Twitter page even tweeted out a picture of Lisandro Martinez and Lionel Messi writing:

“Licha and the birthday boy”.
