The Premier League seasons begins on Friday with the reigning champions Julián Álvarez and Máximo Perrone against Burnley.

Current Premier League champions Manchester City play their first match of the season against Burnley, away from home.

Julián Álvarez finished last season with 17 goals and five assists in 49 matches for Manchester City, with him being brought on as a substitute in the majority of the matches.

Álvarez started the Community Shield match for City last weekend.

Máximo Perrone joined Manchester City in January of this year and took part in one Premier League match and one FA Cup match.

  1. Hopefully other EPL teams have will learn something from City’s match vs Burnely that you can fcuking let a striker roam free in their box! Nobody had it so easy like Haaland has it for City! Great team behind him and opposition let him dance freely !

  2. Julian will play attacking midfielder this season. I think Pep has this planned for KDB’s potential departure.

Man City is the only club that I think a young player can still develop without regular playing time. If Perrone is truly talented and hard working, he will have his moments under Pep.

  3. Julian will start the season opener in attacking midfielder (number 10) position or perhaps more like a second striker behind Haaland in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

As for Perrone, I doubt he will be given minutes, they should loan him somewhere for development.
