  1. Enzo is playing great in the more advanced role! He could have a few assist had his team-mates knew how to escape a basic offside trap, more specifically the incompetent striker Jackson!! Also selfish and brainless play from Sterling is the reason he doesn’t have too many goal scoring opportunities. His positioning is sublime and gets into great positions multiple times in a match only to be ignored by imbecile Sterling! Having said that his shooting has been bad this season. He has been wasting the limited chances by shooting wide or high . He needs to be more clinical. But yes , he should play closer to the goal than in the deep midfield!

  2. Our star Enzo has had a terrible start to the season with Pochettino playing him too far up and too wide. He’s a deep lying midfielder like Riquelme, Veron but who can also defend. More like Redondo and Gago. He’s not a an attacking mid like Aimar, Maradona, Pastore.

Scaloni had it exactly right with Mac playing further up.Thats how we dominated Netherlands, Croatia, France.

Hopefully Pochettino plays Enzo in the right position and he regains his form and confidence.

    • It was Enzo who wanted to play advance position. What I understand is that..he asked Poch and Scaloni to not use him in DM position and wants to play higher on the pitch.
Actually he’s not DM. He can be a great CM.

      • I think he plays great when playing in a double pivot. Poch should make him play near caicedo in a double pivot. There by he can play his normal game as caicedo will do the defensive duty. Gallagher is not at all good there. He shined in Benfica playing in a double pivot. Or else as a CM.

  3. Hope messi retire from football.. he’s done his job.. he fulfilled his legacy.. and he made us happy.. and he made cr7 fans cry… he is aging.. time is catching up.. retire on a high KING#GOAT!!!!!!

    • It’s clear he’s keeping himself fit to play in the Copa 2024. No reason he would want to miss it given Argentina’s current form and it being less than a year away.

As for 2026 WC, there is no point thinking about it. It’s light years away in football years.
