The Argentina U23 national team have been drawn in Group B for the Olympic qualifiers.
Javier Mascherano’s team will be playing in the Olympic qualifiers which begin next year as the draw has been made for the tournament. Argentina are in Group B with Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay and Peru while Group A consists of hosts Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia and Ecuador.
Argentina will play their first match on January 21 against Paraguay before playing on January 24 against Peru. After that they have a rest day and play Chile on January 30 before playing on February 2 against Uruguay.
Only the top two teams per group qualify for the last round with the top two teams in that round qualifying for the Men’s football tournament at the 2024 Olympics.
IS it Diego placente it will be interesting to look forward..
Keeping Masche in charge after blundering previous two tournaments is the worst possible decision by AFA. I don’t see any chance practically. They are not going to qualify!
Unless, AFA brings an assistant coach to help tactically, like Placente, I don’t see Argentina qualifying with Mascherano as coach. There’s no structure of play with his teams. And his selections are all over the place.
Mascherano as a coach is still a bad idea
