Argentina U17 win 4-0 vs. Poland at the World Cup and top the group

The Argentina U17 team won 4-0 vs. Poland at the World Cup as they top the group.

Diego Placente’s team started the U17 World Cup with a 2-1 loss against Senegal but went on to win their last two games. Argentina played Poland on Friday and a 4-0 win qualifies them to the Round of 16 at the World Cup.

Argentina took a 1-0 lead off a corner kick. The ball was sent into the penalty area and it was Thiago Ezequiel Laplace who would score off a scramble to give Argentina the 1-0 lead.

Agustin Ruberto would score off the kick off in the second half, his third goal of the U17 World Cup. It was a through ball for Ruberto who was able to fight off his defender and score.

It was great play by the right back Gimenez and his pass was touched by the goalkeeper but it fell to Ian Subiabre who scored the third goal of the match for Argentina. Subiabre would also get an assist.

  1. This was a saving grace on a day when Uruguay outright humiliated us. I haven’t seen for long such a clueless and poor display by our team. It was shocking, devastating and left me damn tired.
