Alan Varela and Valentín Castellanos could both be called up for Argentina.
Varela and Castellanos could soon be part of the team. According to Gastón Edul, Alan Varela and Valentín Castellanos are both on the radar of Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni.
For Alan Varela, the 22 year old has played in 19 league matches for FC Porto, scoring twice and assisting twice while often being oen of the best players on the pitch.
Valentín Castellanos has two goals and three assists in 23 league matches with Lazio.
The Argentina national team will play two matches in March. The first will be on March 22 in Philadelphia against El Salvador and the second will be against Costa Rica on March 26 in Los Angeles.
Scaloni has an eye for talent and MacAllister is the greatest testament to it! He knows the weak areas of the team and is always for a lookout for players to fill those gaps!

Not sure what Castellanos would bring, but Varela is a solid prospect. He’s very good.
Instead of Taty Castellanos, maybe try Beltran? He’s playing more of a number 10 lately but he can be an interesting option to try. He hustles, presses and his build up game is pretty decent as well. Can score goals too. And we will be warding off Italy…they always circle our players as vultures, eh!
Lucas Beltran much better than Castellanos.Beltran his overall player is superb as Italy, he already chose Argentina.
But he didn’t play any matches. He still eligible to play for Italy. And if Italy offer him euro 2024 spot. He can go there.
