Palacios will be sidelined and will not be playing with the Argentina national team against El Salvador and Costa Rica. The official Argentina account posted on social media that he has a muscle injury and will not be with the team.
Argentina national team coach called up Guido Rodríguez to the team. Lionel Scaloni will be without Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala and Exequiel Palacios due to fitness problems.

Dont invest in this kind of players no matter how good they are, when we conduct only few games between worldcups its hard to have players who are in and out with injuries always its going to effect the chemistry
Testing unproven players is what friendlies are all about besides, you don’t need Messi or Dybala to play vs Costa Rica or El Salvador. It’s time for the young guns to show us what they have and AS ALWAYS, LET’S GO ARGENTINA.
Agreed. I think we should play di maria and mcalister and try to revolve new players around this midfield and attack. I think Mac is only getting better. Only two years ago we were doubting his participation within the selection 😂

I don’t think palacios is injured imo. xabi alonso may asked Argentina coaching staff to drop him out from this tour due the long distances plus bayer Leverkusen are in such strong position to win triple and palacios is such key player for alonso, I maybe wrong but it’s my guess we will know in two weeks time when bundesliga resumes.
We’ll see how quickly he “recovers” then…

Scaloni seems to rate Buonanotte higher than many other youngsters, if anything I would expect him to get minutes based on previous calls.
