Argentina making progress for Enzo Fernández to play at the Olympics

Argentina are making progress to get Enzo Fernández to play at the Olympics.

Javier Mascherano will have both Lucas Beltrán and Alan Varela at the Olympics and could be getting Enzo Fernandez. According to Gastón Edul, Argentina is making progress in getting Enzo Fernández to be with the team for the Olympic games.

They would join the base of Emiliano Martínez, Nicolás Otamendi and Julián Álvarez. Enzo is 23 years of age and would not count as an overage player but clubs are not obliged to release players for the games in France.

Mascherano’s team are in Group B with Morocco, Iraq and Ukraine. They play their first match on July 24 against Morocco in Saint-Étienne, their second game against Iraq on July 27 in Lyon and their last group match against Ukraine on July 30 in Lyon.

  1. BREAKING: Paulo Dybala is 100% OUT from the Copa America. The coaching staff had talks with him, he’s not injured, the decision has been made. @gastonedul 🚨

I wish the coaching staff had same guttes to drop likes pezzella, Armani, otamendi, acuna, montiel and Guido The way I see it Dybala is easy target

    • As much I support Dybala’s exclusion, I see alot of politics. Lisandro, and Rulli have been injured whole season but Scaloni selected them.
Montiel, Acuna have missed games. That’s double standard.

Pezella and Armani selection don’t make any meaning with better players around.

Scaloni should start making tough decision.

  2. I forgot about Perez. Surprised he didn’t get in the list. Also if anyone has time then make a comparison with previous squad please. It would be good read
