Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has his starting eleven in mind against Ecuador and has stated that Lionel Messi will play.

Lionel Scaloni did not say if Messi is going to start against Ecuador but did say he will be playing. Emiliano Martínez is set to start with a modified back line.

The midfield is expected to be one that Lionel Scaloni has started several times and both Julián Álvarez and Lautaro Martínez are set to start. Here is the rumored eleven:

Emiliano Martínez; Molina, Romero, Lisandro, Acuña; Di María, De Paul, Paredes, Lo Celso; Álvarez, Lautaro Martínez

The match takes place in Chicago, Illinois at Soldier Field.
