Rodrigo De Paul spoke about the match vs. Ecuador and preparing for the 2024 Copa America.
De Paul started for Argentina in their 1-0 win vs. Ecuador on Sunday. The Argentine is an undisputed starter for the national team and is taking part in his third Copa America. Speaking to the media after the win, here is what he had to say about the match:
“It is always difficult to face Ecuador and I think we played a great game. We know the demands and how these matches are played. We have to understand that there are moments to play and others to be intense.”
About the 2024 Copa America:
“This is the most beautiful part of preparing for the Copa America. You have to enjoy it because after that starts the pressure and the demands.”
Today the team did not have a great game except for the defence, a sublime goal from Di Maria, a near miss freekick from the danger guy and a brilliant moment when De Paul set up an easy header for Lautaro. This performance needs to be improved immensely.
Yes, the pressure has started… be well prepared and stay focus. At the back defensive made some mistakes and error. It can’t be tolerate against good team.
