Argentina rumored XI vs. Peru at the Copa America

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has eleven players in mind for the match vs. Peru at the Copa America.

Lionel Scaloni will not be pitch side for Argentina against Peru as he is suspended for one match. According to Gastón Edul, this is the rumored eleven:

Emiliano Martínez; Montiel, Pezzella, Otamendi, Tagliafico; Palacios, Paredes, Lo Celso or Carboni; Di María, Lautaro and Garnacho.

It would be between Lo Celso and Carboni for one spot on midfield.

  1. I remember when Paredes, lo celso and palacios played together first time post 2018 world cup under scaloni which was his first match as Argentina temporary coach I loved that midfielder since then and I’m looking forward to it tonight again as they playing together in such long time

  2. Scaloni is a brilliant coach…he is slowly transitioning out old leaders like Otamendi and Pezella and developing players like de Paul, parades, Enzo, and Macalister into leaders to lead this team for the next World Cup…they will play the supporting role for Messi while he might replace amend, Acuna, Pezella, di maria and guido with nehuen, balerdi, medina, Ezequiel Fernandez, and Thiago almada. I hope that’s his plan… VAMOS ALBICELESTEEEEE

    • Agreed, I personally have been pushing the Lisandro-Cuti combination a lot on this site and admittingly, I was wrong to say we should have done that by the World Cup because, well, we won, would be stupid to retroactively say we should’ve changed anything. Ota was great. But it’s good to see that combination finally playing together and they will give us several peak years of their career together. Like you say it’s still great to see Ota and Pezella in those supporting roles to rest the other two

  3. Following today’s defeat against a competent Swiss side, Italy will come more aggressively after Argentine young talents. Kids in cities of Italy have stopped playing street fubal and their academies hasn’t produced any world class talents for over a decade. Italy will do what other European nations are doing, steal talent from other countries.
