Argentina will wear the home shirt with white shorts in the Copa America final.

The Argentina national team will be wearing their traditional home shirt with white shorts and white socks against Colombia in the Copa America final on Sunday. Emiliano Martínez will be in all green.

  1. I think Scaloni is going to start with Di Maria and Messi both. Hence, some trick like in the finals would be needed like playing Di Maria on the left and the two 36+ need to be speed-padded by Alvarez, Enzo and De Paul. It would be interesting to see who Scaloni selects for the right – Molina or Montiel. My vote is for Montiel but he knows it best. On the left Tagliafico does a decent job with defence that suits a final. Once Acuna replaced Tagliafico in the final, we did not get any advantage other than resting a pair of tired feet.

  2. I think the natural grass surface of hard rock will fair well for us. We didn’t have our starters playing against Peru in the group stage so we don’t know how mess and Co would have done. Maybe could have scored 5. I went back and watched highlights of Arg v Peru and Arg V Honduras back In 2022 (also played at Hard Rock). All of These other bumpy fields are great for teams who high press and run-gun for the ball. That is not our identity.

    I truly believe this will be a major factor in our success tomorrow! Being able to control and pass the way we want.

    At MetLife – the ball was just dying and was jumpy. You could see the sand and water jump up. I was there and the grounds grew were doing all they could to get the pitch in better condition. The ball had no pace a. This won’t be the case at Hard rock.

  3. We have to win this game in regulation period. Don’t expect Dibu wonders to keep happening in penalties. Colombia has a certain belief and aura to them that hasn’t been seen since 1994. Remember what they did to us in 1994 qualifying!

    Everyone here thinks we’ll always win in penalties. Don’t set ourselves for disappointment and don’t think Colombia don’t want revenge for the last Copa. Remember several Copas we beat them but it was close. They are on fire now. We have to completely remove their oxygen and put out that fire quickly. Remove their belief and make them feel like frauds.

    The only thing is now Argentina has to play “Final Boss” mode (Their best football that makes everyone in Mundo say, “where has this been” …. “Trust Scaloni!” … “We were saving this all Copa” … “Scaloni didn’t want to show true plans!” … “I’m so happy for DiMaria… what a perfect send off” … “Colombia brought back down to earth now”… “We have the heart of Champions”). Vamos Argentina!

  8. I’m just worried that if Messi retires after this Copa, the team’s chances of defending the 2026 World Cup championship will be very low. In two years he will be 39 years old and I do not know whether he will still be healthy enough, although I do not doubt his spirit of service. Messi only has a few friends his age to comfort him. They will leave after this Copa.

  10. Espn pundits and Ronaldo fans can hype Colombia as much as they want but the only team that could beat us is already out of the tournament. Not because they are better or stronger than us, but they are our biggest rivals and that is Brazil! Regardless of how bad they are playing they will always give 200% and raise their game to next level when playing against Argentina and same goes for us. We were going through a transition phase post 2018 world cup and were having a abysmal Copa America in 2019 where we had lost to Colombia and drew with Paraguay, but when we played Brazil in the semi final if it wasn’t for corrupt officiating from corrupt referees we would have defeated Brazil. That game in particular kick started Scaloni’s dominance too. So yeah, Colombia might be having a great tournament but they won’t beat Argentina. I have a feeling that before the second half, we would have already sealed the match and would be enjoying Sharika’s waka waka in the half time show.

    • Don’t underestimate Columbia. Its not like we never loose to teams other than Brazil. We lost against Uruguay in 2011 lost against chile in 2015 & 2016.we can’t underestimate anyone they are a strong side and even as a fan we should respect Columbia

      • All after penalties but now we are the beast of PK shootouts. So far the pressure was minimal on Columbia but now its huge one step away from the glory with a historically such looser team while ARG is a serial winner. Imo this final will be like Real Dortmund UCL final.

  11. James will for the first time in this copa have to play without Munoz & mostly rios in right pitch. They do the running & mopping for James.

  12. Id put Montiel to follow Diaz everywhere on the field, be his shadow 90 minutes. He did it to Neymar, he can do it again.

    We need only in form players, Enzo has been off all tournament. Paredes is the experienced steel we need in the middle and he is in good form and well rested.

  13. The boys have enough time to rest physically and mentally, I think messi will have a better game than the previous one. Let’s go argentina! My only issue is that we absolutely do not put otamendi in this game, not at all .
