Most trophies won by an Argentina player, Lionel Messi and Ángel Di María lead

Lionel Messi and Ángel Di María are the two most decorated Argentina players of all time.

Messi lifted the Supporters’ Shield with Inter Miami, bringing his tally to 46 career trophies won. Not only is that the most of any Argentine player but the most of any player in football.

Ángel Di María has won 35 career trophies, coming in second all time for Argentina players. In third is Luis González, who won 10 trophies with FC Porto and a total of 31 in his career.

Carlos Tevez is in fourth, one shy with 30 trophies with Franco Armani at 27 trophies.

Four players are tied on 25 career trophies won. Nicolás Otamendi, Javier Mascherano, Esteban Cambiasso and Alfredo Di Stéfano all won 25 trophies each. Here is the list:

  1. Taty Castellanos, with two impressive goals today is making a strong case for a return to the national team. With the right service, he can definitely produce goals and today both of them were of very good quality. Meanwhile, Licha committed another mistake leading to a goal. Ten Hag wants to play him in a bit attacking role and that is frequently leaving him out of position and ball watching.

    • Licha is good but opponents can capitalize on his height disadvantage. Meanwhile Tagliafico is back and played full 90 minutes in Lyon 4-1 win

    • I think Scaloni dropped Taty due to his recent injury. With Nico Gonzalez out, Garnacho might have playing time. Soule has been disappointing and not lived upto the hype.
