Julio Soler could be called up to the Argentina national team.
Soler might be included in the team for their match against Peru on Tuesday. According to Fernando Czyz, if Cristian Romero and Nicolás Tagliafico are dropped from the Argentina national team due to fitness issues, Soler could be called up.
The 19 year old left back has not played for Argentina in the first team level.
It’s good for us to lose sometimes while we have the luxury of being the first place in qualifiers. Defeats and mistakes are learning opportunities.
Otamendi needs to be dropped though, I hope it is obvious for the coaching staff.
Scaloni needs to rediscover ways to utilise Messi. Tata has done that well in Inter Miami. 4-4-2 with Gomez as a forward cum medio. He and Alvarez/Lautaro in front. 4-3-1-2 isn’t working against tough teams.
You all need to relax a bit. I think we have earned the luxury of liberty to lose few game. Also I would love to see us lose now then later. Now the coaching staff has something to think about and see their mistake. Otamendi was beast in the air duel however he was beaten easily so that’s something now Ayala and Samuel needs to think about coz he ain’t getting young. Also i don’t what game you all watched but Enzo was our best midfielder by far. Don’t criticise him coz of Chelsea. Anyway our attack makes me worry coz we need different dimension now coz Messiah won’t be our survivor anymore so hopefully our coaching stuff get their work done now then later.
Yes agreed with Enzo was clearly the best of mid’s and looks a bit like Mac might have some injury/ a knock..? Anyhow the aerieal threat frpm opponent’s must be addressed by Ayala
and Samuel.
Also young players or players who have maybe played so much yet should be given much more of playing tine, though offcourse the Coaching surely will want to find right and well balanced team against Peru and obviously it will be their decission and only theirs and hopefully they will get their work done…
I hope Almada at least will be starting and wishing good minutes for Paz and Buonanotte too and on left i think Garnacho will be starting, but obviously it depends on formation,…, but maybe Almada more in kind of central role, though not sure if he can be fielded same time with Lo Celso who i would see to get the start as well and yes i think Enzo will start again being clearly best of midd’s in last game, but not really sure at the monent who will the best options with him for the middle…?
Who reads our posts in this forum? Us only. Not Scaloni. So he would do what he is comfortable with. He would continue with the oldies and slowly we would go back to the 2016-18 era.
Actually at this point where ARG has been dwelling for some time allready, though even managed to won last COPA, well right now against Peru in their next game I would like to see all the young players who are with the team either starting or given significant playing time and not just 15 min or less…as surely they can’t do any worse and actually they might lid the fire literally, because some spark is desperately needed immediately or please at least take out from starting 11 those, who do not deserve it anymore and also replace players not in form and carrying injury etc.

Something ”massive or what ever” has to be done by Coaching and if it does not work, well try better again next time, but by continuesly and constantly with more or less same as Otamendi etc, won”t simply do anymore, because if Pezzella would had not been injured, well he would had surely replace CUTI if CUTI possible now injured like just mixing it between in the middfield with certain players only and also allways more or less using the same subs, maybe only subbing them in with different order and so on etc….
Paredes should not be used at all until he starts constantly playing for Roma with performing too and if he moves back to Boca, well game over as nothing against Boca, but there are better options from X-Boca’s as Varela, Equi,or current Boca like Medina
Please Coaching show some guts to bench those who are needed to bench now and please next no more calling veteran’s execpt MESSI until’ he call’s it off by himself…
Time is running towards next WC and please don’t wasted more by using veterans who have been past their Prime for quite sometime just to be honest and not by dissrespecting anyone, just be a bit more realistic and not shame or scared to loose with players who have hardly featured at all for ARG or played not much at all, because ignoring won’t do any good at all as quite the opposite in fact and every team has to face it at some point and sooner they will be able to face it, well the better future should be expected compared to current situation and by comparing to those who have won it all in the past is pointless in the present, because after MESSI there won’t be any like him or EL DIEGO, ADM and none another National team will have anyone even closer to them either so no point of worrying about, that just face it and trust your own talents, beacause everyone else also has to exept those colonnial’s who for some reason have players from their x-colonies willing to play for them rather, than their own nation/ country respectively the will is obviously theirs who will they choose to play for in the end…
NEVER FORGET YOUR ROOTS AND THAT ARGENTINA HAS WON 3 WC’s and also hold’s the record in SA by winning more Copa’s than any other( I quess Uruguay has one less if I remember correctly) also it was very long 28 years of waiting for to win COPA again and 36 years for to win WC again, but IT WAS DONE even more better as winning 2 consecutive COPA’s and the Finallisima too so even it may take time to win again, still surely it can be done again in the future as history speaks for itself!

First thing to do is drop Otamendi, he is passed his prime time. So much error he made nowadays, no more room for him. Start integrated the young players otherwise it will be too late. They have the chance as Enzo, Alvarez, Mac Allister and Montiel did in 2022. Refresh and re-energize…. too many dramas in the pitch nowadys. Looks at Messi pointing his finger to referee against Paraguay….

What good is it to call up all these young guys if they aren’t integrated into the team? The team is stale, lost its pace and quickness, and we need to play young players. Give Soulé, Paz, Mastantuono, Barco, Balerdi, and the countless other young players a chance. If nothing else it’ll light a fire under the ass of some of the older players.
People are talking about Garnacho didn’t play well. But I don’t think Garnacho is the main problem. Main problem is full back. We don’t have solid full back who can defend well and at the same time go to overlap and help wingers. In modern football full back is most important position in the team because they balance they whole team.
Scaloni shows himself being too loyal to the veterans. Paz is available and had great showing in previous qualifier game , yet he puts in Montiel and Paredes as if preparing for penalty shootout.
Midfield is also a problem, RDP, Mac and Enzo werent pressing and way too slow throughout the game. No quick shortpassing move whatsoever, only sideways and backward passing.
It was worst subs in a long time, paredes, montiel and otamendi have no business with Argentina nt but scaloni is too loyal for them
Another problem is the players only willing run and press in home game. Its pretty obvious in every games after Copa final.
With the current format where up to 7 teams can qualify, its almost impossible for Argentina not to qualify. We’re sitting at the top after 11 games which means the veterans will just relax in away games, just look at RDP, Otamendi and Paredes everytime they played, no sense of urgency.
Yes, this is a good point with 6 or even 7 teams qualifying creates no sense of urgency and if added all those numbers of club game’s in Europe, well it is all just killing international football in the end, but I do get it “ with the money” etc.
Anyhow playing for ALBICELESTE NONE CAN BE GUARANTEED ( maybe DIBU can) and creating healthy competition by bringing and USING and GIVING MORE OR WAY MORE PLAYING TIME for younger players will do wonders for those are willing to relax and seriously name’s, that everyone is writing about in this forum have to be dropped by coaching with immediately, because they don’t care and retire by themselves as respecting the shirt and thinking, which will be the best for the shirt in future as only DI MARIA understood this even he could be easily in the team and playing, but surely he is not thinking about himself rather more for giving chance for younger players, but look’s like to get this done he should be the coach, because for some very strange reason the coaching does not drop the players which are needed to drop immediately or they should had been dropped even way before, Lo!

Brazil even at their worst period their players are playing in top clubs and well recognised.

We’re so bad that we remained top of the table. Yes we have problems particularly in away games where our players seems refusing to press and casually passing the ball backward but other teams has plenty of problems aswell hence they’re behind us.

Yep, very, very true indeed! And I quess not need to mention name’s, though I may not blame all of those goals on “somebody”, but many I will and also fullbacks are responsible by letting those crosses in as well as aerial clearance away from the box and yes, most of the team should take at least or at least think of this and why crosses been allowed, whether from direct play or set pieces and only DIBU has not any part in this in what so ever and coaching should had addressed this issue long time a go allready and try create some new bond between CUTI and someone else than Pezzella or Otamendi( though CUTI hardly played with Pezzella), but anyhow everyone get’s point except for some odd reason not the coaching..?
If you watch the replay, you’ll notice…
The first Colombia goal, it started from corner kick and only ONE Argentina player tries to jump on that cross and it was Lautaro! a striker! when Colombia got the ball again and crossed it from the other side to score, not a single Argentina player jump! even a random jump from anyone could have prevented the guy from connecting his bicycle shot. However, nobody even tries to defend the cross.
Yes it looks so odd indeed as why aren’t they willing to defend that cross, because everyone want’s and surely knows how important it is, but like u said only Lautaro jumping and after none…?
So weard, because defending crosses or defending generally should be one ARG’s strengths even ARG may not have the tallest CB’s, but it is much about timing too and in current coaching team there are Ayala, Samuel and Scaloni
Surely this been scouted by opponents and Paraguay utilized it well and surely Peru will try the same so let see how it works again Peru…? Hopefully this will be practiced until they at least are willing as offcourse the attacking team allways has advantage while crossing to opponents box and sometimes just perfect crosses with good finishing end up in the goal, but also many times they don’t if one is willing to or trying to defend them as good as they can, which surely every player know more, than better so i reckon bad communication and lack of timing…
