Nicolás González could replace Lionel Messi for Argentina in the match against Uruguay.
González has chances of replacing Lionel Messi in the starting eleven against Uruguay on Friday. According to Joaquín Bruno of TyC Sports, the 26 year old will replace Messi and it could be a 4-4-2 formation.
Lionel Messi did not make the Argentina team due to an injury. The Argentina national team will play Uruguay on Friday and Brazil on Tuesday.

Don’t think it’s wise to throw some promising youngsters against team like Uruguay. Nico can run then maybe later them row can cause havoc if everything goes according to the plan.
I think Nico was selected for his experience. But I am not sure if he is in good form in recent times. Simeone has the speed and energy to counter super pressing Uruguay and the creative Vinicius. He did that against Real along with De Paul.
