Thiago Almada on Argentina win: “I’m learning a lot”

Thiago Almada started for Argentina and scored the goal in the 1-0 win against Uruguay in the World Cup qualifiers.

Almada was part of the starting eleven for Argentina and scored a great goal to give Argentina the 1-0 win. Speaking to the media after the match, here is what he had to say:

“I was a little anxious, eager to play and to show why I had been called up. I’m learning a lot and I’m trying to adapt as best I can.

“It was a very difficult game, but we did things right and got the win. We struggled at first until we settled in, began to control the ball and find space.”
