Thiago Almada on Argentina win: “I’m learning a lot”

Thiago Almada started for Argentina and scored the goal in the 1-0 win against Uruguay in the World Cup qualifiers.

Almada was part of the starting eleven for Argentina and scored a great goal to give Argentina the 1-0 win. Speaking to the media after the match, here is what he had to say:

“I was a little anxious, eager to play and to show why I had been called up. I’m learning a lot and I’m trying to adapt as best I can.

“It was a very difficult game, but we did things right and got the win. We struggled at first until we settled in, began to control the ball and find space.”

“Now to rest well and wait for the match against Brazil.”
