Vélez Sarsfield and River Plate both play in Wednesday’s Copa Libertadores matches.
The two Argentine clubs will look to do what Estudiantes and Racing both did, to win their first match in the 2025 Copa Libertadores. Vélez Sarsfield host Peñarol in their first match while River Plate are in Peru to play Universitario.
For Vélez Sarsfield, they are in Group H with Peñarol, Olimpia and San Antonio Bulo Bulo. River Plate are in Group B with Independiente del Valle, Universitario and Barcelona.
