  1. Is there a typo? Why would Scaloni call up Giovani Simeone who hardly plays and then not continue the selection of Guiliano Simeone who is a way better winger and calls up Garnacho instead. Sometimes I don’t understand what Scaloni does. Is Guiliano injured or something?

  2. Scaloni is paying attention to the form, players who are regular and performing are called up, and vice versa. But maybe he does not rate the Brazilian league and only prefers European based players with some exceptions, hence no Bernabei again.

Glad Barco is called up. The CB pecking order is shaping up too: Cuti, Otamendi, Balerdi, Medina, Foyth.

Taty is back, but Castro and Benja are not, they have not played much in the last couple of months.

Garnacho can consider himself lucky to be given a chance, let’s see if he stays on the trimmed list. Nico Dominguez – a deserved call up, he’s a very decent box-to-box player.

Notice, nobody from the local league, no more Pezzella, Montiel, etc.
